Mediation

Erik R. Overlid

In my career as a litigator, I practiced on both the plaintiff and defense sides, and in firms ranging from boutique offices to large, nationwide litigation outfits. In that time, my litigation practice focused primarily on General Liability, Auto, Construction, and Habitability matters. The one consistent thing that led me to where I am now, however, is that I like solving problems much, much more than I like fighting about them.

Despite this focus, I have also developed a reputation among my clients as being the attorney they can trust to “figure it out” when they have an issue that doesn’t fit any of the ordinary molds. This has led to a breadth of experience, including the successful handling of matters involving cemetery and funeral home liability, wild animal bites, aviation crashes, tribal court actions, defamation, employment issues, private security liability, as well as sport and recreational injuries.

The one consistent thing that led me to where I am now, however, is that I like solving problems much, much more than I like fighting about them - and that’s a mindset I carry with me every day in my mediation practice.
